Myotaiji Temple
Myotaiji Temple was founded in 1294 by Nichizo, one of Nichiren’s grand-disciples. This was one of the most famous temples in the Hokuriku region, and is also said to be the oldest Nichiren Buddhist temples in Echizen. The traditional Shichi-Fukujin Festival (Seven Lucky Gods Festival) is held here every September.
